From the listing to the ownership transfer: simple steps that protect you from surprises after you buy.
01Before inspection
Ask the seller for the VIN and plate number, inquire about traffic violations through official channels, and make sure that the seller’s name matches what is written on the car’s license.
02During the preview
Do not rush to judge a car based on its external appearance, and be careful of the following:
- Inspect the car in daylight
- Have the engine run cold
- Try driving on a bumpy road at different speeds
- Check the maintenance log if available
03Before payment
Require that the car be inspected at an approved inspection center before completing the sale, and do not pay any amount before receiving the report. Then document the sale process with an official contract or power of attorney in the real estate register, and transfer the ownership to the competent traffic unit.
